FAQs about Summer Camps

Can I book individual days?

Yes! The booking system will give you this option.

I can’t see where to enter the discount code.

It appears before you check out.

Do you accept childcare vouchers?

We don’t accept childcare vouchers.

Can I let you know a friend my child would like to be grouped with?

Please email us to let us know, we will do our very best to accommodate these requests but can’t guarantee.

My child doesn’t currently attend Mighty Netball, can they book onto the Summer Camp?

Yes absolutely, we’d love to welcome new children to Mighty Netball.

Can my son book onto Mighty Netball?

Yes – everyone is welcome at Mighty Netball.

Does your sibling discount apply for the Summer Camps?

Yes, at Mighty Netball, we offer a 15% discount on a second or subsequent booking. If you have any further queries regarding sibling discount please get in touch. Please note, this does not apply if one parent books two friends, we will get in touch if this happens.

My child would like to play in the older/younger section is this possible?

We will answer this on an individual basis, before booking – please email

What happens in the event of bad weather?

We play through most weathers here at Mighty. We don’t go ahead if conditions are unsafe. In August, we are unlikely to be affected by icy courts, but might get affected by thunder and lightening. In this case we would take a view on how long the disruption will last for and make a decision that is safest for the Mighty Netballers and coaches. This might mean going inside for an hour, or we might have to make a decision about cancelling that day. Safety is always our priority. We will communicate any changes to parents via email and or text.

What is the cancellation policy for this Summer Camp?

You are entitled to a refund up to one week prior to the start. After this time, refunds cannot be given but you could arrange your own replacement. We may have a waiting list so do check with us if you need to give up your place, we can refund you if we can refill your place from the waiting list. This cancellation policy includes any cancellations due to illness or isolation. If we cancel any part of the camp, we will refund as appropriate. If you are arranging your own replacement, please let us know so we have their details and emergency contact info.

What should my netballer wear?

They should be dressed appropriately for netball, meaning: trainers, active wear, hair tied back, no jewellery or watches, short nails. They should bring layers to cope with our unpredictable weather so everything from shorts and t-shirts, to fleeces and waterproofs! We recommend a bin bag to keep bags and clothes in, in case it rains. Baseball caps and sun cream are also essential. Plenty of water is a must. There are facilities to refill bottles but with so many netballers on site, they may wish to try and come prepared so they avoid waiting to refill.

Should my netballer bring food?

Yes, all attendees must provide their own lunch and snacks. No nut items are permitted. The children will no doubt be very hungry during three days of netball so please send them with plenty of supplies. There are no facilities on site to purchase any additional items. As above, please bring plenty of water.

How is the tournament structured?

The year 3&4 tournament is totally separate to the year 5&6 tournament. The teams will be randomly allocated for day 1. Thereafter, on Thursday evening the pools will be reallocated so that teams play teams that are of the most similar standard to them. This continues until the finals on Friday (which every team takes part in), where they will finish with a longer match against their most similar team.

Is there a winning team?

We focus on hard work, teamwork and kindness; as well as seeing improvement in individual and team skills. These attributes will be rewarded with prizes at the presentation. We will track the points of the matches but don’t intend to focus solely on the winners.

Can spectators attend?

Spectators will be welcome at 2pm on Friday to see the final matches and presentations. We would love for lots of spectators to come and cheer the netballers on in their final match and to celebrate with us at the presentations.
