Mighty Netball runs sessions for children from the age of 3 in our Preschool groups, up to age 11 in Year 6.

Due to Covid-19 our Summer 2020 term was cancelled. Therefore to ensure our year 6 netballers, who are year 7 as of September, get to have their last term with Mighty; we have moved everyone up together. The adapted age groupings are in brackets below. We appreciate this means children remain the older/younger year group in their session. We will review this towards the end of Autumn 2020 term ahead of bookings for Spring 2021. If you are in year 7, do let us know if you’d like to continue with us beyond Autumn term so we can keep you in the Mighty Community! This also means our youngest age group is now Reception age children, we look forward to being able to offer pre school children a class again in the near future. Thank you for your support and patience at this tricky time.

Pre School & Reception (Reception & Year 1 for Autumn 2020)

We start at the very beginning. No netball knowledge is expected and the aim of every session is to have fun. Children work with or without their parents, it’s up to them (and you). Children can begin at the age of 3 and continue in this group until they finish Reception.

The technical content is well crafted ensuring the FUNdamentals of movement are in every session. Through imaginative games skills are developed including agility, balance and coordination. Traditional netball equipment is avoided as we know how off putting 10ft posts can be. Miniaturised equipment is available, our Mighty Netballers play with small netballs promoting hand eye coordination and becoming familiar with the netball. Sessions stimulate imagination and aid early development skills. Mighty Netballers grow in confidence, develop skill, enhance ability and have fun.
