Code Of Conduct

This page outlines the expectations for conduct from participants, parents/guardians, spectators and coaches at Mighty Netball. We hold all in our community to a high standard of sportsmanship and this code of conduct allows us to promote a safe, rewarding, and fun sports environment where children can have fun and flourish.

Code of Conduct for Players
  • I will arrive on time and be netball ready at every session.

  • I will be honest, fair, and respectful to others at all times.

  • I will encourage my teammates and praise good efforts, recognising that everyone has different levels of ability and confidence.

  • I will join in with enthusiasm and try my best.

  • I will take care of all equipment and use it safely and responsibly.

  • I will be kind and supportive, and show good sportsmanship at every session.

  • I will listen to and respect my coaches and teammates.

Code of Conduct for Families
  • I will endeavour to get my child to the venue in plenty of time to start, and will ensure they are netball ready.

  • I will respect players, coaches, and other parents/guardians at all times.

  • I will support from the sidelines without giving instructions that may confuse the players.

  • I will applaud effort, enjoyment and teamwork as well as success.

  • I will remain outside the court area as instructed by the coaches.

  • I will encourage players to respect each other and their coaches.

  • I will avoid criticising a player, coach, or other parent.

  • I will not engage in, or tolerate, offensive, insulting, or abusive language or behaviour.

Code of Conduct for Coaches
  • I will arrive on time, netball ready, and let the Mighty Netball team know if I am delayed.

  • I will coach with the goal of creating a positive learning experience for every child.

  • I will put the emotional and physical well-being of participants first.

  • I will follow all safety protocols of Mighty Netball and the venue.

  • I will be encouraging, supportive, and never belittle or ridicule anyone.

  • I will treat all coaches, players, and families with respect, and represent the Mighty Netball community in a positive manner.

  • I will act as a positive role model at all times.
